A metaphoric journey
Painting Cancer
In May 2011 Reinhold was diagnosed with throat cancer. His oncologist believed art can heal in ways medicine and therapy cannot, and told him to keep painting. The result is seven large landscapes, one for each stage of treatment, now on permanent display at The Mount Sinai Hospital, Hess Center for Science and Medicine, New York.
